SUMMARY
POSITION INFO
In order to be considered the following is required:
- Matric (Grade 12) essential
- Diploma or Certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous
- 2–5 years' experience in internal sales, telesales or customer service within the FMCG industry
- Experience working with retailers, wholesalers, distributors or key accounts preferred
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach
- Strong administrative and organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Achievement of sales targets
- Customer retention and satisfaction levels
- Order processing accuracy
- Response time to customer enquiries
- Growth in existing customer accounts

- Debtor management support and account compliance
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Proactively contact customers to generate sales and promote products
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
- Follow up on sales leads and customer enquiries promptly
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business
- Assist in executing sales promotions, campaigns and product launches
Customer Service
- Provide professional and efficient support to customers regarding products, pricing and availability
- Resolve customer queries, complaints, and order issues in a timely manner
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Maintain accurate customer records and communication logs
Order Management
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Monitor order status and coordinate with logistics, warehousing, and distribution teams
- Ensure timely delivery of products and communicate any delays to customers
- Manage returns, credits, and claims according to company procedures
Account Administration
- Prepare quotations, sales reports, and customer account updates
- Monitor customer purchasing trends and identify growth opportunities
- Assist with customer account reconciliations and payment follow-ups where required
- Maintain accurate CRM and sales system records
Market & Product Knowledge
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, pricing structures and promotions
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends
- Provide feedback to management on customer needs and market opportunities
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with external sales representatives, customer service teams, and operations departments
- Support key account management activities where required
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and business reviews
