PURPOSE OF THE JOB: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Warehouse Team Leader to join our Production Support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and optimising warehouse operations across receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch, while ensuring team productivity, stock accuracy, and compliance with safety and operational standards. The key responsibilities of the position are as follows, but not limited to:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations across dispatch, distribution, receiving, and inventory.
- Allocate tasks and manage workloads to meet operational targets and SLAs.
- Monitor team productivity, attendance, and performance.
- Ensure all orders are processed accurately and on time, and that all couriers are booked and notified of collections.
- Drive stock accuracy and support inventory control processes.
- Conduct spot audit checks and ensure PC1/QM audits consistently yield 90%+.
- Enforce OHS and PCI compliance standards — zero incidents target.
- Immediately liaise with the Warehouse Operational Leader regarding identified risks and challenges.
- Ensure all warehouse departments operate to standard with completed registers and compliance records.
- Comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
- To ensure that all job goals are completed by striving for Quality, Trust and Security always.
MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Matric / Grade 12 Certificate.
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse team leader or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in fast-paced distribution environments.
- Ability to manage pressure and meet tight operational deadlines.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse management tools.
- Sound understanding of OHS compliance requirements.
