PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The role provides strategic leadership across IT development, infrastructure, and support functions while aligning technology capabilities with business objectives and growth initiatives.

MINIMUM EDUCATION

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MBA / MSc / equivalent) advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, Cloud certifications)

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 10–12 years’ experience in IT leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, and systems implementation.
  • Experience managing IT operations, infrastructure, development, and support teams.
  • Strong exposure to governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.

Experience in financial services / technology-driven environments advantageous.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Define and implement the IT strategy aligned to organizational objectives.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, and systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Oversee application development, maintenance, and enhancements.
  • Ensure alignment of development initiatives to business priorities
  • Establish and maintain robust information security frameworks.
  • Manage cybersecurity risks and ensure data protection compliance
  • Planning and Organizing – sets clearly defined objectives; plans activities and projects well in advance and takes account of possible changing circumstances; identifies and organize resources needed to accomplish tasks; manages time effectively; monitors performance against deadlines and milestones.
  • Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations – focuses on customer needs and satisfaction; sets high standards for quality and quantity; monitors and maintains quality and productivity; works in a systematic, methodical and orderly way; consistently achieves project goals

People Management

  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to IT teams.
  • Build capability across infrastructure, development, and support functions.
  • Drive performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative IT culture.
