Lesaka Merchant Division (Hospitality) – Kimberley, Northern Cape

Lesaka Merchant Division (Hospitality) is expanding our Installation & Support team, and we’re looking for a dedicated

Installation & Support Technician to join us in Kimberley, Northern Cape.

The successful candidate will report to the Area Manager and play a key role in delivering high‑quality POS installations, client training, and post‑implementation support across the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on, customer‑focused technician who enjoys working in fast‑paced environments, solving problems in the field, and owning projects from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

POS Installations & Go‑Lives

  • Install and configure POS hardware and software at client sites
  • Execute POS and Back Office setups (stock control, administration, reporting)
  • Manage go‑lives, including after‑hours support and client hand‑holding
  • Ensure all installations meet quality, compliance, and SOP standards

Technical Support

  • Provide technical and software support during business hours
  • Deliver after‑hours standby support according to the regional roster
  • Escalate or coordinate support cases for timely resolution

Client Training & Handover

  • Train client staff on POS and Back Office systems
  • Ensure clients are confident and fully operational before handover
  • Obtain client readiness and sign‑off where applicable

Team & Operational Support

  • Collaborate with the regional technical team
  • Take ownership of allocated installation sections (POS or Back Office)
  • Support team continuity during critical operational periods

Accountability & Ownership

  • Take full responsibility for assigned installations and support tasks
  • Deliver regardless of time pressures or operational challenges
  • Provide professional, client‑centric service at all times

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  • IT qualification (A+ and N+ strongly recommended)
  • Windows networking experience
  • 3–5 years’ experience in IT or technical support
  • Strong technical support background (essential)
  • Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Strong problem‑solving ability
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and travel across the Northern Cape & surrounding areas
  • Own reliable vehicle

Working Conditions

  • Monday – Friday, 08:00–17:00
  • After‑hours work required during go‑lives and critical periods

  • Smooth handovers with reduced dependency

  • Responsive, effective support (business hours & after‑hours)

  • Full accountability for assigned work
  • Reliable participation in standby duties
