Recently qualified CA(SA) with international exposure, ready to break into the world of M&A, where analysis turns into deals and insight turns into execution.

POSITION INFO

A well-established corporate finance and advisory firm is looking to appoint a high-calibre newly qualified CA(SA) who has had exposure to international markets or secondments and is now ready to build a career in transaction advisory and M&A.

This role offers a strong launchpad into deal-making, providing hands-on exposure to live transactions while working alongside experienced deal teams.

You will be immersed in valuations, financial modelling, and advisory work across buy-side, sell-side, and strategic mandates in a fast-moving, intellectually demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of M&A transactions across buy-side and sell-side mandates
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models including DCF, LBO, and scenario-based analysis
  • Assist with valuation assessments and preparation of investment materials
  • Compile pitch decks, teasers, and client-facing presentations
  • Conduct detailed industry, company, and competitor research to support deal origination
  • Participate in due diligence processes, including data room analysis and review
  • Work closely with senior dealmakers on structuring, negotiation, and execution support

Job Experience And Skills Required

Education

  • International exposure or cross-border secondments advantageous
  • Experience in audit, advisory, transaction services, or corporate finance preferred
  • Strong academic foundation
  • Recently qualified CA(SA) (essential) Experience

Skills

  • Strong financial modelling and valuation capability
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical ability
  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
