This is an opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, drive large-scale data initiatives, and contribute to business decisions that impact thousands of customers daily within a high-volume contact centre environment.

You'll play a key role in modernising our data infrastructure, migrating legacy systems, and building secure, high-performance data solutions. You'll also gain hands-on exposure to emerging technologies such as Microsoft Fabric and Salesforce Data Cloud, positioning your career at the forefront of South Africa's rapidly evolving data landscape.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end cloud-based data solutions from architecture through deployment.
• Lead the migration of on-premises data environments to modern cloud platforms.
• Build, optimise, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Design and develop data warehouse structures, data lakes, and reporting layers.
• Create dashboards and reporting solutions that support operational and strategic business decisions.
• Drive data governance, data quality, security, and best-practice standards.
• Collaborate with IT, Data, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful data solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through innovation and automation.

Essential Technical Skills

• Advanced SQL
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Services
• Experience working across both on-premises and cloud data environments
• Advanced Power BI dashboard development and reporting
• ETL / ELT development and pipeline design
• Data modelling, including fact tables, dimension tables, and star schema design
• Data integration and automation
• Business Intelligence (BI) development
• Data warehousing design and implementation
• Data lake architecture and implementation
• Basic Python or scripting knowledge

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3–5 years' experience in Data Engineering and/or Business Intelligence Development
• Proven experience working with cloud-based data platforms
• Strong experience in data migration and scalable architecture design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Passion for innovation and emerging technologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
