Who We're Looking For
An Integrated Strategist
This role involves understanding clients' business and marketing challenges and distilling them into highly focused strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Staying informed on market, cultural and social trends.
- Conducting some primary, but chiefly secondary research.
- Analyzing research, data and trends.
- Assisting Strategic Director with the delivery of workshops and write-ups.
- Identifying brand, cultural and social insights, challenges and opportunities.
- Creating competitive reviews and situational analyses.
- Developing brand anatomy/framework/architecture, positioning and strategy.
- Writing compelling brand stories.
- Meeting with and presenting to clients.
- Briefing and collaborating with creative teams.
- Ensuring strategy work is delivered to a high standard, on time and within brief.
Your Experience
- Skilled at thinking strategically within the given regulatory framework.
- Strong research skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to identify issues, analyse data, and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to distil complex business propositions into a succinct strategy.
- Ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Creative and compelling storytelling.
- Creativity and innovation: ability to think outside the box and develop new ideas
- Experience leading client meetings.
- Project management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Collaborative spirit: Ability to work effectively with others and build strong relationships.
- A working knowledge of all agency systems.
Duties
Administration
- Ensures that timesheets are up to date and submitted timeously – daily or weekly.
- Ensures that the Traffic Manager is notified of any deadline related issues/questions timeously.
Client
- Develops a thorough understanding of the client's business and the major factors/trends shaping their market(s) and brands – gained over time.
- Is the client's first port of call for strategic questions/issues in the absence of the Strategy Director.
- Is the Account Management team's first port of call for all strategic questions/issues/presentations in the absence of the Strategy Director.
Creative
- Contributes to the creative ideation process in brainstorm sessions and provides strategic guidance to the creative team.
- Inputs on whether the creative work is on strategy or not.
- Is the Creative team's first port of call for all strategic questions/issues/presentations in the absence of the Strategy Director.
