Business Analyst - Information Services

Badger & Bird Talent

Business Analyst | Information Services

Location: Northriding (Fully On-site, with regional and national travel)

The Deal: True Autonomy and Multi-Cheque Upside

If you are tired of bureaucratic red tape and being micro-managed, this environment offers a refreshing change. The reporting IT OPS Manager focuses entirely on your outputs. They are there to unblock obstacles and clear the path for you, not watch your every move.

This is a stable, founder-led holding company that owns its entire supply chain from manufacturing to retail. Because the business treats its people like business owners, everyone participates directly in the financial success. The company utilises a profit-share model that regularly translates into a 13th, 14th, 15th, and even 16th cheque. If you put in the effort, the financial reward reflects it.

What You Will Actually Do

You will not just sit around waiting for a functional specification to land on your desk. You will be expected to be naturally curious, find the operational gaps, and take total ownership of the solution.

  • End-to-End Involvement: You identify the process inefficiencies, run your own workshops, and map out the requirements.
  • Solution Design: You will write the Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications.
  • Technical Implementation: You will partner directly with the internal development team to build, run user acceptance testing (UAT), and deliver the final system change.

The Commitment

We believe in laying out the realities of a role upfront so there are no surprises:

  • On-site Presence: This is a fully on-site role based in Northriding, coupled with domestic travel to factories and retail sites.
  • Working Hours: The business operates two Saturdays per month.
  • High Self-Reliance: If you are the type of person who needs a step-by-step map or permission to find an answer, you will struggle here. You need to be resourceful enough to navigate challenges independently.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience acting as a Business Analyst within IT or digital transformation environments.
  • A strong grasp of system development lifecycles (SDLC) and project tracking.
  • Excellent documentation and process mapping capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise platforms, with SAP ERP experience being a massive advantage.
  • Familiarity with tracking tools like Microsoft DevOps, FreshService, or SmartSheets

If this sounds like your next move, let's talk!
