Electrician
General Heavy Machinery
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in mining environments, maintaining and repairing heavy earthmoving equipment, and operating safely within high-voltage electrical systems.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with a recognized Trade Test Certificate
- Minimum 5 years' experience in mining, heavy equipment, or related industries
- Proven experience working on high-voltage systems ranging from 350kV to 550kV
- Strong experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining earthmoving machinery and mining equipment
- Sound understanding of electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance practices
- Experience working in demanding mining environments and complying with mining safety standards
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding on mining and earthmoving equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on high-voltage systems and associated equipment.
- Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with mine health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Participate in planned shutdowns and emergency breakdown response activities.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operational teams to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
