Are you a commercially driven, well-connected professional within the LIQUOR INDUSTRY? We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Lead to drive growth, expand market presence, and build strong strategic partnerships across Route-to-Market channels, On-Trade, and Main Market environments.
Role Overview
This role is responsible for driving commercial growth through Route-to-Market (RTM) partners while expanding the company’s footprint across key channels. You will focus on strategic account management, new business development, and executing targeted initiatives to increase brand visibility, distribution, and volume performance.
Key Responsibilities
Route-to-Market Partner – Account Management & Development
- Drive volume growth by identifying and executing opportunities within RTM partners
- Expand numeric and weighted distribution and grow the customer base
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to increase brand availability and sell-through
- Conduct monthly planning and performance review meetings with RTM partners
- Align with RTM sales teams to ensure effective execution in trade
- Present trading terms and develop commercial strategies to achieve targets
- Execute trade marketing initiatives including promotions and incentive programs
- Analyse sales data and provide actionable insights
- Monitor and evaluate performance of all commercial initiatives
On-Trade & Main Market – Account Management
- Identify, acquire, and manage key accounts to drive brand presence and growth
- Develop Joint Business Plans with strategic partners
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Allocate accounts and track performance of Sales Executives
- Monitor KPIs including rate of sale, visibility, and activation impact
Business Development
- Proactively secure new business within On-Trade and Main Market channels
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts
Administration & Reporting
- Compile monthly RTM and performance reports
- Track promotions, activations, and campaign effectiveness
- Manage and maintain new business pipeline data
- Oversee budgets for trade spend and ensure ROI
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 2–5 years’ experience in sales or business development (liquor/FMCG preferred)
- Strong understanding of the liquor trade (on-trade and off-trade)
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Willingness to travel
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (essential)
- Currently working in the liquor industry (advantageous)

- Established network within the liquor industry
- Experience working with premium or craft liquor brands
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within the alcohol sector
