- Develop and maintain production schedules for the Printing and Extrusion departments.
- Ensure production plans are aligned with customer orders and agreed lead times.
- Monitor and maintain optimal feedstock levels to support production requirements.
- Liaise with Procurement to ensure the availability of bought-in reel stock.
- Update daily production outputs and drive adherence to the production plan.
- Work closely with Sales to provide expected delivery dates and communicate any deviations.
- Ensure the timely supply of materials to support production requirements.
- Maintain the accuracy of planning data on the ERP system.
- Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) and the manufacturing process to ensure products are available on time.
- Identify and communicate potential production issues and opportunities.
- Prepare and distribute reports to support management decision-making.
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Minimum of 3 years' production planning experience.
- Strong understanding of production planning processes and material flow.
- Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) principles.
- Proficiency in Syspro and Microsoft Office, Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with multiple internal stakeholders.
Advantageous Qualifications and Experience
- CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience with high-output extruders and high-speed flexographic printing presses.
