In this role you will be responsible for:

Effectively execute the maintenance and Instrumentation functions in the department to reach and exceed equipment availability targets Leading and managing the team of Artisans, Technicians and contractors in the department Monitoring instrumentation and control systems to support the operational needs of the plant Oversee the maintenance Service of SCADA, computers and PLC hardware Provide an instrumentation service to Production, Electrical and Mechanical stakeholders and support the IT/OT function as required Implementing optimisation and new capital projects To ensure working procedures are adhered to, updated and complied to according to set standards Maintain housekeeping and high safety standards according to company requirements

About you:

Grade 12 Technical / N3 or related NQF level 4 qualification Instrumentation Trade test certificate Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering would be advantageous Minimum 5 years’ field Instrumentation and PLC programming experience i.e. Siemens PCS7; Supervisory experience and skills Experience on a Sinter Furnace or similar environment will be an advantage Ability to interpret data, or analysis for reliability RCFA; Experience in Instrumentation, Simatic PCS7 systems, WinCC SCADA and Industrial Network (Ethernet, Profibus) Computer literate for the role including MS Office and SAP PM Good knowledge of the HSECQ systems
