Duties (Key Result Areas/Outputs)

Perform necessary administrative functions, train and supervision of subordinates. Control over tools and materials. Maintenance and repairs by painting, glazing, and spray- painting of hospital buildings. Emergency breakdowns (including afterhours repairs). Planning and décor of new installations and alterations.

Inherent Requirements Of The Job

A valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB, manual) and willing to travel throughout the Western Cape. Perform standby duties.

Minimum Educational Qualification

Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Painting.

Competencies (Knowledge/Skills)

Be conversant with the requirements of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act. Sound knowledge of the SANS 10400 Building Regulation.

Experience

Grade A: No experience required. Grade B: At least 18 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. Grade C: At least 34 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate.

Remuneration

Grade A: R 253 341 per annum, Grade B: R 297 249 per annum, Grade C: R 345 342 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
