SUMMARY

Join a leading financial services business in a high‑impact Senior Internal Auditor role.

You will play a key role in strengthening risk management, controls, and governance across the organisation.

POSITION INFO

• Execute internal audits to evaluate risk management, controls, and governance frameworks
• Identify key risk areas through structured risk assessments and audit planning
• Perform audit fieldwork, including walkthroughs, control testing, and data analysis
• Prepare clear, insightful audit reports with practical recommendations
• Analyse root causes of findings and support management with improvement actions
• Review systems, processes, and controls to enhance operational efficiency
• Conduct audits of intermediaries, service providers, and key business areas
• Engage with stakeholders and present audit findings to senior management and committees
• Perform follow‑up reviews to ensure effective implementation of corrective actions
• Support development and improvement of audit methodologies and frameworks
• Mentor junior auditors and contribute to team development
• Collaborate with external and co-sourced audit service providers

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3–6 years’ internal audit experience
• Strong knowledge of risk management, controls, and governance
• Experience in financial services, preferably short‑term insurance
• Strong technical auditing skills including data analysis, process reviews, control testing
• Understanding of insurance legislation and regulatory environment
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit assignments

Qualification

• CIA or CA(SA) - non-negotiable
