SUMMARY

POSITION INFO

Role Purpose

The Intermediate IT Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, assessing, and hiring high-quality technology professionals to support the company's growth objectives. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end recruitment processes, build strong talent pipelines, partner with hiring managers, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition through to onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand business requirements, technical skills, project demands, and hiring priorities.
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for technical and non-technical positions.
  • Source candidates through various channels including:
    • LinkedIn Recruiter
    • Job portals (PNet, CareerJunction, Indeed, etc.)
    • Internal databases
    • Referrals
    • Networking events
    • Social media platforms
    • Direct headhunting
  • Screen CVs and conduct competency-based interviews.
  • Assess technical suitability and cultural fit of candidates.
  • Manage offer negotiations and candidate placement processes.
  • Conduct reference checks and background verification where required.

Talent Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain talent pools for frequently recruited positions.
  • Develop passive candidate networks within key technology sectors.
  • Maintain an up-to-date recruitment database and applicant tracking system.
  • Create succession pipelines for critical and scarce skills roles.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers and business leaders.
  • Provide recruitment market intelligence, salary benchmarking, and hiring trends.
  • Deliver regular recruitment progress updates and reporting.
  • Advise hiring managers on recruitment best practices and market availability of skills.

Recruitment Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and candidate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, POPIA, labour legislation, and recruitment best practices.
  • Prepare recruitment reports and metrics.
  • Support onboarding and employee integration processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (advantageous).
  • Relevant recruitment certifications advantageous.

Experience

  • 3–5 years' recruitment experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience specifically recruiting for IT and technology roles.
  • Experience within an IT consulting, technology services, software development, systems integration, or staffing environment.
  • Proven experience managing multiple vacancies simultaneously.

Required Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of:

  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
