ABOUT THE ROLE

Genasys is at an exciting point in our growth journey. We are scaling. Our implementation portfolio is growing. Our client base is expanding across geographies. And as we grow, we need to build the kind of delivery engine that can match our ambition - predictable, scalable, commercially disciplined, and built to last.

As Chief Delivery Officer, you will own the end-to-end delivery execution of our customer implementation programmes across South Africa, the United Kingdom, and international markets. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and serve and serve as senior delivery leader.

The role requires a strong operator rather than a conceptual strategist: close enough to the delivery detail to understand delivery reality, senior enough to lead through complexity, and disciplined enough to create accountability without creating unnecessary pressure or noise.

You will be accountable for

  • End-to-end delivery execution across the implementation portfolio - milestones, scope, and commercial commitments.
  • Leading, maturing, and scaling a high-performing PMO and delivery management function.
  • Building the operating rhythm: consistent RAG reporting, RAID governance, milestone tracking, and executive dashboards that actually work.
  • Serving as the senior delivery interface into Product, Architecture, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and BAU.
  • Leading escalation resolution for critical implementation issues and supporting strategic client delivery governance.
  • Coaching and developing a delivery team of Project Delivery Managers, Project Managers, Implementation Consultants, and Test Analysts.
  • Protecting implementation margin through better estimation, scope discipline, and change-control rigour.
  • Owning the 6-month delivery roadmap and building a scalable delivery model for the long term.

  • Reduced rework, scope leakage and avoidable delivery noise.
  • More resilient delivery function with reduced single-person dependency.

ABOUT YOU

You are a senior delivery leader with deep experience in enterprise software implementation. You know what good looks like, you know how to build it, and you know how to hold a team to it.

Your experience and qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Significant senior leadership experience in enterprise software delivery, SaaS implementation, platform delivery, or technology-enabled operations
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-stakeholder software implementation programmes, ideally in an insurance or financial services context.
  • Deep understanding of the insurance value chain: policy administration, claims management, MGA structures, and relevant regulatory frameworks across EMEA.
  • Proven experience leading and scaling delivery teams in a fast-growth technology environment.
  • Strong proficiency in agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience building or professionalising a PMO or delivery management function.
  • Previous experience with London Market or Specialty Insurance is desirable, but not a minimum requirement.
