SUMMARY

Calling all Red Seal Qualified Electricians in the Western Cape

POSITION INFO

My client, a company, is seeking a competent and experienced Electrician to join their Engineering Department.

Location: Saldanha, Western Cape

Key Requirements

• Grade 12 with N6 and Electrical Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) or equivalent qualification (NQF/RPL – SAQA).
• ±10 years’ experience in electrical installations, maintenance, faultfinding, and safety in heavy industry.
• Wireman’s License advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of overhead cranes, compressors, boilers, PLCs, and drives.
• Valid driver’s license (standby duties required).
• SA Citizens only
• Must be Criminal Clear (No record)
• Must reside in or close to Saldanha or be willing to relocate

Role Responsibilities

• Faultfinding and maintenance on electrical systems.
• Wiring of panels according to standards.
• Plant lighting and general inspections.
• Electrical work on cranes, compressors, boilers, PLCs, and drives (SANS 10142 compliance).
• Support plant optimization and smooth operations.
• Willingness to work on shutdowns and perform standby duties.
