Job Summary
To deliver a seamless virtual banking experience to Business Banking clients by managing and growing a portfolio of customers remotely. The Virtual Banker is responsible for providing financial solutions, driving revenue growth through cross-selling, and ensuring compliance with FAIS and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship & Service Management
- Manage a portfolio of clients via virtual channels (voice, video, digital)
- Build client relationships and provide tailored financial solutions
- Deliver high-quality service aligned to Absa standards
- Sales & Revenue Growth
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
- Drive new client acquisition
- Achieve financial and non-financial targets
- Portfolio Management
- Manage and optimise portfolio profitability
- Monitor account performance and conduct reviews
- Risk & Compliance (FAIS)
- Ensure compliance with FAIS and regulatory requirements
- Maintain RE5 certification and regulatory standards
- Digital & Virtual Enablement
- Drive digital adoption among clients
- Use virtual tools to enhance engagement
Qualifications
- National Diploma / Degree in Business, Commerce or Finance
- FAIS Compliant (RE5 required)
Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in Business or Retail Banking
- Portfolio and client management experience
- Sales and revenue generation experience

Education
Higher Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
