Purpose Statement

To provide operational support in managing, negotiating and coordinating cash device locations for a defined geographical property portfolio within the bank’s property and distribution environment, ensuring cash device locations effectively meet business and client needs thereby optimising access to cash solutions for personal and business banking clients.

Education (Minimum)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Properties & Development
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Law

Education (Ideal Or Preferred)

  • Honours Degree
  • Masters Degree in Business Management

Knowledge and Experience

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the South African retail property landscape (ATMs advantageous)
  • Good understanding of property leasing principles and lease agreements (leasing concepts (offers to lease, renewals, expiries, escalations, occupancy terms).
  • Key terminology (gross vs net rentals, OPEX, lease cycles, landlord obligations, tenant responsibilities).
  • Property portfolio management principles, geographic distribution principles for physical networks, factors influencing site feasibility (foot traffic, visibility, access, complementary businesses).
  • Understanding of internal governance and approval processes linked to cash devices (installations, relocations, consolidations).
  • Understanding of ATM/cash device distribution considerations (security, access, client need, operational requirements).
  • Record keeping, audit trails and data accuracy requirements and understanding of workflow systems or document management tools.

Experience

  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in the retail property industry in one or more of the following areas:
  • Property leasing administration or portfolio coordination (commercial, retail or ATM/cash device-related).
  • Exposure to lease preparation, renewals, tracking, documentation management and landlord interaction.
  • Basic experience in market research, feasibility inputs, location analysis or distribution support.
  • Experience supporting relocations, consolidations or site rollouts in a property or distribution environment.
  • Working with internal teams such as Property, Legal, Projects, Finance, Operations or external property stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing reports, collating data, or supporting governance requirements.
