Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and methodical Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role requires a professional who can deliver comprehensive cost management services across all project stages (Stage 1-6), with demonstrated expertise in both fitout and basebuild environments. The successful candidate will work across diverse sectors including Retail, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Educational developments.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Contract Services
- Prepare Order of Magnitude Estimates for early-stage project assessments
- Conduct Feasibility Studies to evaluate project viability and cost parameters
- Produce detailed Elemental Estimates for design development stages
- Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and complete Procurement Documentation
- Perform Tender Evaluations and lead commercial Negotiations with contractors
Post-Contract Services
- Administer contracts including assessment of Variations and Claims
- Prepare and certify monthly Valuations for Payment Certificates
- Deliver accurate and timely Cost Reporting to clients and project stakeholders
- Manage Final Account processes and settlements
- Calculate and advise on professional Fees
Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Professional Standing
- BSc (Hons) or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP (mandatory)
- Minimum 4-6 years of post-qualification experience
Technical Experience
- Proven experience across all project stages (Stage 1-6)
- Demonstrable expertise in both fitout and basebuild projects
- Strong background in Cost Management across multiple sectors
- Experience in Engineering Procurement, Contract Administration, and Tender Adjudication
- Track record of successful project delivery in fast-paced environments
