Role Description

This is a full-time Software Engineer position based in Cape Town, where you will be placed directly with a leading technology company in the Netherlands. Operating fully integrated within their distributed workforce, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient software solutions for the European market. The role involves writing clean, maintainable code, collaborating seamlessly with international interdisciplinary teams, participating in cross-border code reviews, and resolving complex technical issues. You will drive back-end development and implement industry-leading software development methodologies for our Dutch partners.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and expertise in Programming
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and best coding practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a distributed, international team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with modern development tools, microservices, and agile methodologies
• Strong communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration with European counterparts
• Prior experience in the tech industry or working with international teams is a strong plus
