HR Business Partner (HRBP)

We're looking for an experienced

HR Business Partner to join a dynamic team, playing a key role in enabling business performance, shaping culture, and delivering a best-in-class employee experience.

About The Role

As a trusted advisor to business leaders, you'll provide end-to-end HR support across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring practical, compliant, and people-focused solutions.

You'll play a critical role in talent optimisation, performance management, employee relations, and organisational effectiveness—while proactively identifying risks and opportunities through people insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to translate business strategy into impactful people plans
  • Deliver full HR generalist support across the employee lifecycle
  • Lead performance management processes (goal setting, reviews, calibration)
  • Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, and development initiatives
  • Manage employee relations matters independently (disciplinary, grievances, incapacity, conflict)
  • Provide expert guidance on South African labour legislation
  • Support organisational change initiatives (restructures, onboarding, integration)
  • Use people data (turnover, performance, EE) to drive insights and decisions
  • Collaborate with HR specialist teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Contribute to building a high-performance, values-driven culture

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR / Industrial Psychology / Labour Relations
  • Honours Degree (advantageous)

Experience

  • 3–5 years in an HR Generalist or HRBP role
  • Strong experience handling employee relations independently
  • Exposure to talent and performance management frameworks
  • Financial services or asset management experience (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid understanding of SA labour legislation
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g. SuccessFactors)
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Business acumen and ability to operate in a regulated environment
