DOVES (PTY) LTD (‘’The Company’’) has a great opportunity for a suitably qualified Operational Branch Manager candidate to be based at Doves, Worcester, Western Cape Boland.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibility is providing funeral service operations in respective region to achieve set funeral operations and funeral sales targets as per growth strategies. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for (the list is not exhaustive).

A. Operations

  1. Follow all company operating procedures to grow branch funeral units.
  2. Ensure that branches provide excellent funeral services by managing branch complaints and complements reports.
  3. Monitoring monthly financial performance to meet the company’s financial objectives
  4. Liaising with Risk & QA Specialist to ensure that the branch adheres to audit requirements
  5. Liaising with OHS Specialist to ensure that the branch achieves OHS compliance standards
  6. Liaising with HR department to ensure that all employees attend essential and mandatory training to fulfil their job requirements

B. Insurance Sales

Follow the below Insurance Sales growth operating procedures to grow and achieve insurance sales targets and grow funeral insurance book. Liaise with the RM & HR to:

  1. Recruit suitable Agents and Team Leaders
  2. Ensure that all agents and team leaders attend mandatory selling skills training.
  3. Ensure that all agents and team leaders attend mandatory product knowledge training
  4. Have minimum of 5 agents
  5. Get agent codes for newly recruited agents
  6. Ensure that clear activation planner is in place and discussed with team leader
  7. Provide resources for daily sales activations (Transport & marketing kit)
  8. Ensure that morning vibe meetings are conducted prior to the team leaving for activation
  9. Ensure that feedback from the field is shared with you (BM) so that you can provide advice or solution to challenges experienced in the field.
  10. Ensure that all application forms are collected from agents in the afternoon and quality checks is done prior to capturing
  11. Identify the person who will capture all new business from agents and monitor this daily
  12. Provide tools for team leader to work on 1st awaiting premium data

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Matric
  2. Commercial qualification or equivalent
  3. Driver’s license
  4. Minimum 5 years’ experience in multi - site operations
  5. Experience in funeral or funeral / financial services is advantageous
  6. Functional experience and knowledge in complaints resolution
  7. Regulatory Exam - RE1 is advantageous
  8. Sales and Marketing experience
