Mpact Paper Felixton Mill, a division of Mpact Operations is in need of a Fitter and Turner to join the team to provide maintenance and engineering services ensuring optimum plant and equipment availability according to recognised technical requirements and standards. Make use of tools and machinery to apply engineering fitting and turning techniques.
Key Performance Areas
- Perform diagnostic duties by executing actions related to; test, inspect, troubleshoot and fault find, check, measure, record, etc. to achieve outcomes such as reducing downtime, minimize breakdowns, improving availability of plant and equipment.
- Delivery of quality workmanship and record technical data on completed work for use in planning system.
- Optimize plant performance availability through diligent route inspections and proper execution of plant maintenance schedules.
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks in a safe manner and ensure strict adherence to safe work procedures.
Qualifications
- Full relevant N3 or equivalent plus Mechaincal Trade (Fitting / Fitting & Turning / Millwright)
Work Experience
- 7 years relevant post qualification experience in a heavy industrial environment (Pulp & Paper, Iron & Steel, Mining, Sugar etc).
- Served full apprenticeship.
- Basic computer skills.
Requirement
- Drivers Licence and own reliable transport.
