Operations Assistant - (Order Processing)

Our client in the office supplies industry is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join their team based in La Mercy, Durban. This role is ideal for an organized individual with strong administrative and order processing experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and managing customer orders, monitoring customer portals, checking pricing, handling quotations, resolving order queries, and providing operational support to the sales team. Additional duties include office administration, monitoring shared mailboxes, assisting with invoicing and credit processing, ordering office consumables, fleet administration support, stock take assistance, and providing general support across departments.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with exemption pass
  • Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
  • Previous experience in order processing, sales administration, or operations support
  • Strong MS Office skills, excellent Excel required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and provide support across multiple functions
  • Team player with strong organisational skills
