SUMMARY

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established supplier of specialised solutions to the mining industry. Two field-based sales positions are available covering the Mpumalanga mining belt (Witbank/eMalahleni, Middelburg, and surrounds). These roles suit driven sales professionals with experience selling into mining operations, who can develop new business, manage accounts, and close sales while working independently in the field.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop new business across the Mpumalanga mining sector and grow revenue within existing accounts
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with mining houses, contractors, and OEMs in the region
• Conduct regular on-site client visits across mine operations
• Prepare and follow up on quotations, negotiate, and close sales
• Manage vendor registrations, tender submissions, and supplier portal requirements with mining clients
• Coordinate orders, deliveries, and after-sales service to ensure client satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records of calls, pipeline, and sales activity in the CRM
• Provide market intelligence on competitor activity and new opportunities in the territory
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets

Experience & Qualifications

• Matric essential; relevant sales or technical qualification advantageous
• 3+ years' sales experience, with exposure to the mining or industrial sector preferred
• Existing network within Mpumalanga mining operations advantageous
• Experience with vendor registration, tender processes, or supplier portals (e.g. Ariba, Coupa) advantageous
• Proficient in MS Office; CRM experience advantageous
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Self-managed and disciplined, able to work independently in a field-based role
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport; willingness to travel extensively within the region
