SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Apprentice Joiner to join a fully functional solid wood joinery workshop.

POSITION INFO

Role: Apprentice Joiner (Solid Wood Joinery Workshop)

Location: Hermanus, Overstrand, Western Cape

Salary: TBC

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a wood joinery or woodworking workshop
• Experience working with solid wood and general joinery processes
• Competent in the use of all standard joinery machinery (cutting, shaping, finishing equipment)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Formal qualification in woodwork/joinery will be beneficial (but not essential)

Key Responsibilities

• Work independently on assigned projects from start to finish
• Collaborate effectively within a workshop team when required
• Deliver accurate, high-quality workmanship with attention to detail
• Ensure safe use of machinery and adherence to workshop standards

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence and own transport
• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and meet deadlines
