Therapist Volunteer
FriendnPal (PREDICTIVE AI MULTILINGUAL MENTAL HEALTH)
We are seeking passionate and qualified Therapist Volunteers to support individuals experiencing emotional distress through our digital platform. Volunteers will provide safe, empathetic, and ethical mental health support, working alongside our AI tools and community programs to ensure timely and accessible care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one virtual therapy sessions (chat, voice, or video)
Conduct basic mental health assessments and screenings
Support early identification of conditions such as anxiety, depression, and stress
Offer psychoeducation and coping strategies to users
Escalate high-risk cases (e.g., suicidal ideation) according to protocol
Collaborate with the FriendnPal clinical and operations team
Maintain accurate session notes and documentation
Adhere to all ethical, confidentiality, and safeguarding standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatry, or related field
Licensed or in advanced stages of professional certification (preferred)
Experience in mental health support, counseling, or therapy
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and crisis response
Excellent communication and empathy skills
Ability to work with diverse and underserved populations
Access to a stable internet connection and digital tools
Preferred Skills
Experience working in low-resource or community health settings
Familiarity with digital health or teletherapy platforms
Multilingual abilities (especially African or MENA languages)
Experience supporting youth, women, or vulnerable populations
