Curated by Natasha Sideris and a world-class team and inspired by the world she and Savva Sideris have built together through Tashas Group, the collection brings together crockery, glassware, linens and collectable pieces sourced from and inspired by the Group’s restaurants, travels and design philosophy.

Following the opening of our first retail store in Sea Point, Cape Town, we are preparing to launch our online business and build the foundations for a significant new growth platform within the Group.

About The Assignment

We are seeking an experienced e-commerce leader to help shape and launch the next chapter of Tashas Home.

Reporting directly to Founder & CEO as well as the Executive Team, you will be responsible for defining the commercial model, establishing the operating framework and leading the successful launch of the Tashas Home e-commerce platform by 1 November 2026.

This is a hands-on assignment for someone who enjoys building businesses from the ground up. You will lead the strategy, customer experience, technology, operations, marketing and commercial performance of the business, creating a scalable online retail platform that reflects the quality, warmth and attention to detail synonymous with Tashas Group.

Your Mission

To define, build and launch the first iteration of the Tashas Home e-commerce business by 1 November 2026, while establishing the commercial model, investment roadmap and operational foundations required for sustainable long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Commercial Planning

  • Define the e-commerce strategy and launch plan for Tashas Home.
  • Assess the commercial opportunity and establish clear success metrics.
  • Review the proposed e-commerce budget and determine the investment required to launch and grow the business successfully.
  • Develop a phased investment roadmap covering launch, optimisation and future growth.
  • Build financial models, budgets and forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Establish revenue, margin and customer acquisition targets and monitor performance against them.

Platform & Customer Experience

  • Recommend and implement the most appropriate e-commerce platform and technology ecosystem.
  • Lead website development and implementation through to launch.
  • Oversee product merchandising, content, photography and digital presentation.
  • Create a seamless customer journey that reflects the beauty, warmth and attention to detail associated with Tashas Home.
  • Ensure the online experience supports both conversion and long-term customer loyalty.

Operations & Fulfilment

  • Design and implement the operational model required to support online sales.
  • Establish fulfilment, warehousing, inventory management and customer service processes.
  • Identify and manage key technology, logistics and service partners.
  • Ensure operational readiness ahead of launch and create processes that support future scale.

Digital Marketing, Brand & Growth

  • Develop and execute the launch marketing strategy in partnership with the Group Marketing team.
  • Create an integrated customer acquisition plan spanning paid media, social media, CRM, partnerships, influencer engagement and organic growth.
  • Establish the digital marketing budget and recommend the investment required to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Group Brand and Creative teams to ensure all content reflects the Tashas Home aesthetic and brand positioning.
  • Develop the social media strategy and content framework to build awareness, engagement and community.
  • Plan and execute launch activations, partnerships, events and customer experiences that generate awareness and drive sales.
  • Establish CRM and customer retention programmes designed to increase repeat purchase and customer lifetime value.
  • Oversee agencies and specialist partners across paid media, SEO, content creation and digital marketing.
  • Monitor marketing performance and optimise activity based on commercial outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Natasha and the Executive Team and cross-functional departments.
  • Manage external agencies, technology providers and specialist partners.
  • Present recommendations, budgets, timelines and progress updates clearly and confidently.
  • Help define the future organisational structure required to support ongoing growth.

Key Deliverables

Within the First 60 Days

  • E-commerce strategy approved.
  • Technology platform selected.
  • Launch budget completed and approved.
  • Marketing and customer acquisition strategy approved.
  • 12–24 month investment roadmap completed.
  • Operational and fulfilment model confirmed.
  • Revenue, margin and customer acquisition targets established.

By October 2026

  • Website and integrations completed.
  • Product catalogue and content fully loaded.
  • CRM, reporting and customer service infrastructure implemented.
  • Social media and content strategy established.
  • Launch campaign approved and ready for execution.
  • Launch events, partnerships and activations planned.
  • End-to-end testing completed.

By 1 November 2026

  • Tashas Home e-commerce platform successfully launched.
  • Operational systems fully functional.
  • Marketing campaigns live and performing.
  • Performance reporting framework in place.
  • Post-launch growth roadmap presented to the Executive Team.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Successful launch of the Tashas Home e-commerce platform by 1 November 2026.
  • Launch delivered within approved timelines and budget parameters.
  • Comprehensive launch and growth investment plan completed.
  • Operational infrastructure fully functional and customer-ready.
  • Revenue, margin and customer acquisition targets established and monitored.
  • Social media, CRM and customer acquisition strategies successfully implemented.
  • Reporting and performance measurement frameworks established.
  • Clear roadmap developed for future growth and scale.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience launching and scaling e-commerce businesses.
  • Based in South Africa, ideally Cape Town.
  • 8–10 years’ experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, retail or direct-to-consumer businesses.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, performance marketing, CRM and customer acquisition.
  • Experience managing paid media, social media, content and digital agencies.
  • Experience within premium retail, lifestyle, hospitality, homeware or luxury brands is highly advantageous.
  • Strong commercial, financial and analytical capability.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing e-commerce platforms and technology solutions.
  • Experience with fulfilment, logistics and operational design.
  • Exceptional project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
