SALES MANAGER

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and driven Sales Manager to join a well-established and rapidly growing business solutions company based in Pietermaritzburg.

This role is ideal for a hands-on sales leader with a strong background in office automation, telecommunications, IT solutions, managed services, print solutions, or related industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, coaching, motivating, and growing a high-performing sales team while driving revenue growth across the Pietermaritzburg to Newcastle region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals
  • Drive sales performance and achievement of regional revenue targets
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Monitor team activity, pipeline management, and conversion rates
  • Conduct regular sales coaching, training, and performance reviews
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic growth areas
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support key account management and major client negotiations
  • Analyse sales reports, market trends, and competitor activity
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting
  • Foster a positive, high-performance sales culture

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven Sales Management experience within the Office Automation, Telecommunications, IT, Print, or related industry
  • Matric qualification. A relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage
  • Strong track record of leading and developing successful sales teams
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
