Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Data Analyst to transform data into actionable business insights that improve customer experience, support revenue growth, reduce churn, and enhance operational performance. This role goes beyond standard reporting.
The successful candidate will work across customer, sales, service, operational, and network data to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and support strategic decision-making across the business.
The ideal candidate must be analytical, business-focused, and able to translate complex data into simple, impactful insights for both operational and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analyse customer behaviour, service usage, churn trends, and product adoption patterns.
- Develop customer segmentation and insight models to support personalised customer engagement.
- Monitor customer performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve retention and satisfaction.
- Analyse campaign, sales, and revenue performance to support commercial growth initiatives.
- Analyse operational and service performance data, including installations, faults, turnaround times, and support trends.
- Identify root causes impacting customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Support proactive decision-making through trend analysis and performance monitoring.
- Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and automated reports using Power BI or similar tools.
- Present insights in a clear, business-friendly format for operational and executive audiences.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across reporting environments.
- Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities through advanced analysis.
- Support strategic projects through data-driven recommendations.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to define KPIs and performance measures.
- Contribute to the evolution of data-driven customer management practices.
Qualifications Required
- Matric / Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, or Analytics role.
- Relevant experience / exposure within telecommunications, Internet Service Provider (ISP), Fibre Network Operator (FNO), or customer-centric industries is (advantageous).
- Proven experience in Advanced Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent dashboarding.
- Proven experience working with large and complex datasets.
Skills Required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Strong SQL and data querying skills.
