SUMMARY

Our client in Rosslyn in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Production Supervisor.

POSITION INFO

You will be responsible for the operational management, supervision of staff, and control of manufacturing processes to ensure products are created efficiently, safely, on time, in full, without complaint and within budget. Job Summary The production supervisor oversees the entire manufacturing process. They balance cost control with quality assurance while optimizing workforce productivity, workflows and cost. The goal is to meet client demands and organizational targets while strictly adhering to safety regulations. Working across different manufacturing departments, you will be responsible for the production planning and ensure the different raw materials steams reach the required output stage at the correct time to satisfy customer orders. You will report to the Factory Manager and be responsible for up to 60 production personnel. Core Responsibilities Production Scheduling : Implement and adjust production schedules to hit delivery deadlines. Resource Allocation : Assist with the acquisition of the required raw materials needed. Daily management of people and absence to satisfy production targets. Budget Management : Monitor and manage Man, Machine and Material. Quality Control : Enforce strict quality assurance standards to maintain product integrity. Equipment Maintenance : Organize routine preventative maintenance and quick repairs for factory machinery. Team Leadership : Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of production personnel. Health and Safety : Enforce local workplace safety protocols and regulatory compliance on the shop floor. Continuous Improvement : Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement lean practices to cut downtime. Cross-Department Liaison : Collaborate with procurement, engineering, logistics, and senior leadership. Skills and Qualifications Technical Expertise : Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and productivity improvement techniques. Understand workflow, Work Study and Production monitoring. Leadership Capabilities : Strong interpersonal skills to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and manage different skill levels. Problem-Solving : Ability to troubleshoot technical equipment failures or sudden supply chain disruptions, and raw material or staffing issues, quickly.
