Our client, a specialist in mechanical and water treatment equipment, is looking for a Senior Design Draughtsman who understands that every line drawn carries weight — cost, function, and accountability.

POSITION INFO

You will be part of a design environment where: Design is not theoretical - it must be buildable Standards are not suggestions - they are discipline And improvement is not optional - it is expected Your work will directly contribute to: The development of new equipment and product ranges The refinement of existing designs for efficiency and performance Ensuring drawings translate into successful fabrication and assembly Key responsibilities will include: Producing accurate 2D and 3D models, fabrication drawings, and assemblies Developing General Arrangement drawings and Bills of Materials Improving designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and performance Supporting product development, prototypes, and engineering changes Collaborating with engineering, production, and procurement teams Ensuring compliance with ISO standards and internal drawing controls What you bring: A Mechanical Engineering or Draughting qualification 5-8 years of experience in a mechanical design environment Advanced SolidWorks capability Strong understanding of fabrication, materials, and mechanical systems The ability to think beyond drawings and understand real-world application What sets you apart: You don't just draw - you solve You don't just follow designs - you improve them You don't just meet requirements - you question and refine them If you are ready to take ownership of designs that move beyond screens and into reality, this opportunity offers exactly that.
