Role Summary
The main responsibility of the Business Controller is to create and drive an active dialogue with managers and other employees in financial understanding, performance and profitability. This is achieved by actively challenging existing ways of working and identifying improvement opportunities and by proactively setting and following up on targets. Ensuring business support focusing on performance, risk control and achievement of business objectives throughout the organisation.
Job Responsibilities
- Continuous development of monthly reporting/ KPI’s
- Working with credit control to recover outstanding vehicle sales debtors.
- Balance sheet reconciliations falling in the vehicle operations scope.
- Working closely with business control and finance department.
- Working with Aftersales management and executing tasks as requested
- Financial Analysis
- Responsible for closing month end activities as required.
- Responsible for Financial projections and planning of vehicles.
- Price list reviewing with sales and business support.
- Travelling where required, to attend to matters such as expenses, income statement discussions, meetings
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks carefully and accurately
- Process and procedure driven.
- Effective Communication skills
- Effective time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Able to work independently and take initiative where necessary
- Able to work under pressure and be flexible to business needs
- Competent in Microsoft Suite (Excel Advanced)
- A solution oriented attitude
- Structured , organized and collaborative personality.
- Comfortable operating in a changing and increasingly dynamic business context and willingness to dealing with ambiguities associated with constant change.
Applicant must meet these minimum requirements
- Completed finance related degree
- Applicable 3 years business knowledge and experience in a finance roles
- Working knowledge of IFRS
Advantageous requirements,
- Commercial vehicle Knowledge
- Exposure to a dealer management system
- Exposure to Hyperion HFM
- Completed Bachelor Degree
