SUMMARY

A well-established specialist contractor operating within the premium residential, commercial, and hospitality construction sectors is seeking to appoint an experienced Site Supervisor / Site Manager to oversee the successful installation of glass systems across multiple project sites.

POSITION INFO

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, installation teams, quality control processes, client liaison functions, and health-and-safety compliance, and will possess a solid construction site background together with experience supervising installation teams within the glazing, aluminium, shopfitting, interior fit-out, finishing, or related construction sectors. Key Responsibilities - Manage daily site operations on residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. - Coordinate and supervise installation teams and subcontractors. - Conduct final site measurements and verify installation readiness. - Ensure installations are completed according to specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. - Perform quality control inspections, snagging, and handover processes. - Monitor compliance with health, safety, and site procedures. - Liaise effectively with contractors, project managers, architects, consultants, and clients. - Attend site meetings and provide progress updates. - Coordinate project activities with office, production, and logistics teams. - Maintain accurate project records and reports using cloud-based project management systems. - Identify and resolve site-related challenges to ensure successful project delivery. Minimum Requirements - Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Manager, Foreman, Installation Supervisor, or similar role within the construction sector. - Sound understanding of construction site operations, installation processes, quality control, and project coordination. - Experience supervising installation or construction teams. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documentation. - Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Computer literacy and confidence working with digital reporting and project management systems. - Valid driver''s licence. - Willingness to travel between project sites within the Western Cape. Highly Advantageous Experience within any of the following sectors will be highly advantageous: - Glass installations / Architectural glazing / Aluminium systems / Shopfitting - Commercial fit-out / High-end residential construction / Specialist architectural finishing trades
