What We Are Looking For

We currently seek a business savvy Consultant for our South African office to support our growing business. Ideal candidates should be capable of analyzing complex business environments to come to smart conclusions on what drives profitability and growth, and then developing these into a creative solution as well as delivering them to clients.

Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • A bachelor’s degree or above, demonstrating academic excellence regardless of discipline or field (business administration or management is preferred)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a consulting or corporate environment (preferred)
  • Business/financial acumen – understands general business, organization structure and industry financials, particularly key business drivers and their implications for how firms make profit
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects that deliver results, working with stakeholders and delivering under tight timelines
  • Proven presentation and communication skills at all levels of an organization with a fluent command of English
  • A mature, humble, professional, and hands-on team player
  • Interest in strategy, commercial/business acumen, organizational change, project management and consultative selling; experience in these areas is a plus
  • Alignment with BTS values, including client centricity and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Responsibilities Include

What you´ll do at BTS

  • Design and project manage programs linked to strategy and business priorities, drawing upon your own skills, knowledge and structured information gathering from key stakeholders within each client.
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, balancing solution design, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, timelines and quality across varying industries
  • Client interviews with CEOs and business leaders to develop an understanding of their company’s key levers for driving profitability and growth
  • Facilitate senior level workshops and seminars, to develop business acumen, leadership, or innovation, and manage change.
  • Collaborate in multiple projects simultaneously while working with colleagues and clients across varying countries and industries
  • Manage client relationships, help clients address new needs within their organization and identify referrals for new sales opportunities. Every successful consultant at BTS is viewed as valued strategic partner by the client
  • Have a fun approach to work while aiming to excel

You’ll Also Develop Skills In

  • Consultative sales to identify strategic business opportunities and begin to convert these into sales through the assessment of clients’ needs, understanding BTS offerings, developing proposals and the communication of these offerings to clients.

Variety is key in all our roles. You’ll work on multiple projects at one time, across different industries, and with different internal teams. Our workshop deliveries are a combination of virtual and in-person facilitation, and travel will form a regular part of the role. The rest of your time is spent creating the amazing experiences we provide for our clients: interviewing leaders, conducting research and analysis, designing and testing programmes, and helping clients turn learning into leadership action and sustained behaviour change.
