SAP Business Analyst (Process Design & Requirements)

Job Title - Business Analyst – SAP (Process Design & Requirements)

Experience - 5+ Years

Contract length - 6 months with potential conversion to permanent after 6 months

Role Purpose

To bridge business needs and SAP technology solutions by analyzing, designing, and documenting business processes and requirements. The Business Analyst will ensure effective translation of business objectives into SAP functional specifications and support end‑to‑end delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Engage stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.

Translate business needs into functional specifications for SAP modules.

Conduct gap analysis between current processes and SAP capabilities.

• Business Process Design

Map “as‑is” and “to‑be” business processes.

Design workflows aligned with SAP best practices.

Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.

• Documentation & Communication

Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process maps.

Facilitate workshops, JAD sessions, and stakeholder reviews.

Ensure clear communication between business and technical teams.

• Testing & Quality Assurance

Support UAT planning and execution.

Validate SAP solutions against business requirements.

Assist in defect management and resolution.

• Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with business, IT, and SAP consultants.

Provide advisory support on SAP process optimization.

Mandate Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of Business Analyst experience.
• Strong background in SAP modules (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, or Manufacturing).
• Proven expertise in business process design, mapping, and optimization.
• Hands‑on experience with requirements documentation (BRD, FRD, user stories).
• Familiarity with SAP integration concepts and cross‑module processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Experience in financial services, retail, or manufacturing industries.
• SAP certification (BA or module‑specific) preferred.
