About the Role

Systeco Automation is seeking a highly disciplined and systems-driven Inventory & Stores Control Manager to take ownership of our automation stores, inventory control processes, stock integrity, and project material allocation systems.

We are looking for someone capable of building and enforcing professional inventory control processes within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring:

• accurate stock control,
• disciplined material issuing,
• proper project allocations,
• traceable inventory movement,
• and strong physical and system controls across the stores environment.

This role will directly impact operational efficiency, project profitability, and financial reporting accuracy.

The position will oversee existing stores personnel and will be expected to implement measurable improvements in stock accuracy, accountability, and process compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Control & Accuracy

• Maintain accurate inventory records within Sage Evolution.
• Ensure all stock movements are processed timeously and accurately.
• Investigate stock discrepancies, variances, and adjustment anomalies.
• Implement and manage ongoing cycle count programs.
• Reduce inventory shrinkage and improve stock accuracy levels.
• Monitor and resolve negative stock situations.

Stores Operations Management

• Manage daily stores operations and inventory workflows.
• Supervise stores personnel and enforce operational discipline.
• projects,
• maintenance,
• internal use,
• or overhead accounts.
• Implement and maintain strict stock issuing procedures.
• Control physical movement of inventory in and out of stores.

Project Materials Control

• Ensure project BOM allocations are accurately processed.
• Monitor material usage against project allocations.
• Investigate missing or unallocated project materials.
• Reconcile project inventory before project close-out.
• Coordinate with project managers and workshop teams regarding material requirements and returns.

Physical Stores & Security Control

• Implement and maintain proper physical stock control procedures.
• Ensure controlled access to stores areas.
• Maintain traceability for all internally used items.
• Improve accountability and authorisation processes.
• Assist in developing barcode, scanning, or digital tracking systems where applicable.

Reporting & Process Improvement

• Develop and maintain inventory KPI reporting.
• Provide weekly and monthly inventory variance reports.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement within the stores and inventory environment.
• Assist management with inventory forecasting and stock planning.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in inventory, stores, or warehouse management.

• industrial,
• electrical,
• or technical environments is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles and stock management systems.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Sage Evolution, SAP, Syspro, or similar.
• Strong administrative and reporting capability.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving and investigation ability.
• High attention to detail and accountability.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving operational environment.

Experience

• Sage Evolution experience.
• Experience managing technical/electrical inventory.
• Experience implementing stores controls or inventory process improvements.
• Exposure to barcode or stock scanning systems.
• Experience supervising stores teams.
