WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Ability to interpret and analyse engineering and architectural plans.
• Proficient in producing detailed construction drawings for concrete, reinforced concrete (rebar), and structural steel works.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the six Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) project stages.
• Experienced in structural detailing and preparation of technical drawings for concrete, reinforcement, and structural steel elements.
• Competent in conducting structural assessments and preparing professional technical reports.
• Experienced in carrying out site inspections and monitoring construction progress in accordance with engineering standards and specifications.
• Skilled in compiling detailed inspection, assessment, and project reports.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project for project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Contributing ideas to improve systems, workflows, and project delivery

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD with strong technical drafting and detailing capabilities.
• Working knowledge and practical application of HEC-RAS for hydraulic and river analysis.
• Experienced in the use of Prokon for structural analysis and design.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit Structures for BIM modelling and structural documentation.
• Skilled in the use of Padds, Rebar Mate, and Probar for reinforcement detailing and scheduling.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience within a structural design office environment.
• Demonstrated exposure to the design, analysis, and detailing of a variety of structures, including:
• Commercial and non-commercial buildings;
• Bridges;
• Culverts; and
• Water-retaining structures.
• Relevant qualification in Structural Engineering
