An opportunity for an experienced FMCG production and supply chain ACCOUNTANT is required for permanent employment based in Northern KZN. This role is suited to professionals with strong operational finance exposure, particularly within manufacturing, stock-driven and high-volume environments, where accuracy, reporting and cost control are critical.
- Full financial accounting function up to management accounts
- Preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports and variance analysis
- Costing, cost control, and margin analysis within a production environment
- Inventory accounting and reconciliation (high-volume stock environment)
- Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions
- Budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning support
- Ensuring compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
- Liaising with auditors and managing audit processes
- Monitoring internal controls and financial procedures
- Supporting operational teams with financial insights and reporting
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- BCom Accounting / Finance or related qualification (essential)
- Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles (adv)
- 5–8+ years’ accounting exp. within FMCG / Manufacturing / Supply Chain (essential)
- Strong exposure to stock, costing and production finance
- Exp. working with ERP systems (SAP / Syspro / Pastel / Similar)
- Advanced MS Excel and financial reporting skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Traceable and stable employment record essential
- Local residency or relocation required
