Finance Clerk
Mogale Solution Providers
The Department of Science, Technology and Innovation is looking for a Finance Clerk to render financial support services within the department.
1. Invoice processing
- Receive invoices from suppliers and check for correctness.
- Record invoices in the spreadsheet.
- Request and ensure end users complete BAS Payment Advice and sign off the invoice.
2. Capturing of payments
- Capture payments on LOGIS.
- Capture payments on LOGIS portal integration.
- Print out the payment report and attach to the invoice.
3. Update the Accrual/Payables report
- Check the accrual/payables report and ensure that invoices are paid.
4. Administrative support
- Compile monthly reconciliation of supplier.
- Handle queries from end-users and service providers.
- Suppliers receive their payments within 30 days and the payment.
- Ensure filing of all documents.
- Request payment stub and make copies for issuing to service provider on request.
- Draft standard letters, memos, submissions etc
Qualification
- An NQF level 4 Grade 12 certificate or other related equivalent relevant qualification
Experience
- No experience required.
Knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of on LOGIS and BAS b)
- Knowledge and understanding of SCM processes and procedures c)
- Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act (BBBEAA), Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Public Service Regulation.
