Diesel mechanic (Land Rover Specialist)

Lrxtreme (Pty) Ltd, based in Boschkop, Pretoria East, is an Independant Land Rover specialist workshop dedicated to delivering high-quality maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic with a strong background in Land Rover vehicles to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the automotive industry, technically skilled, and capable of working independently or in a team, while maintaining high workmanship standards.

• Perform diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, wiring diagnostics, and repairs on Land Rover diesel vehicles.
• Conduct fault-finding using diagnostic equipment and technical expertise.
• Repair and replace mechanical and electrical components as required.
• Carry out engine, gearbox, suspension, braking, and drivetrain repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and according to workshop standards.
• Maintain accurate job records and report any additional repairs required.
• Adhere to workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
• Assist with customer vehicle inspections and technical assessments when required.
• Report vehicle diagnostics to Management and or Customers when necessary.
• Maintain detailed job cards, service reports, and records of parts used and repairs completed.
• Ensure own repairs and maintenance work are completed efficiently, accurately, and within allocated workshop timeframes.
• Maintain workshop equipment and tools in good working condition.

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic with relevant trade certification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably on Land Rover vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with modern automotive diagnostic systems and tools.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and under pressure.
• Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
