Year - End Accountant

A well-established Accounting & Advisory firm based in Green Point is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Year-End Accountant to join its professional team. This opportunity is suited to an individual with strong technical accounting expertise, experience in financial statement preparation, and the ability to manage multiple client deadlines within a fast-paced professional environment. • Prepare annual financial statements using DraftWorx or equivalent software
• Conduct Compilation and Independent Review engagements in accordance with applicable professional standards
• Perform detailed variance analyses to explain movements in financial performance and account balances
• Prepare, reconcile, and review complex accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assist with internal reporting processes and management of client deliverables
• Work closely with team members on audit, accounting, and advisory-related projects
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, compliance requirements, and industry developments
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within required deadlines

• Proven experience in year-end accounting and financial statement preparation
• Proficiency in DraftWorx or similar financial statement compilation software
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and professional standards
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation abilities
• Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, organised, and detail-focused approach to work
• Experience within an accounting practice or advisory environment will be advantageous
