Commercial Manager: Operations

We’re partnering with a well-established player in the manufacturing and FMCG industry to recruit a Commercial Manager: Operations. Product Costing & Margin Management

• Maintain and review standard product costing
• Analyse cost variances and identify inefficiencies
• Partner with operations and sales teams to optimise margins

Financial Reporting & Insights

• Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reporting
• Provide meaningful financial commentary to support decision-making

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

• Support annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Drive expense budgeting aligned with strategic objectives
• Evaluate ROI on Capex projects

Cost Control & Operational Efficiency

• Monitor costs vs budget and investigate variances
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce waste

Capex & Investment Analysis

• Manage the full Capex process
• Prepare and review business cases and post-investment evaluations

Stock Control & Governance

• Oversee stock variance investigations
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance standards

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and develop a high-performing team
• Contribute to strategic planning and execution
• Drive collaboration across finance, operations, and supply chain

• CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (essential)
• 4–5 years’ experience in management accounting
• Strong exposure to commercial costing and manufacturing/processing environments
• Proven people management experience
• Experience with SAP and margin analysis (advantageous)
