Senior Accountant

A well-established professional services firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their finance team in Boksburg, Johannesburg. This opportunity is suited to a finance professional with strong accounting expertise, leadership ability, and a passion for delivering accurate financial reporting and maintaining high operational standards within a dynamic environment.

• Managing the full accounting function, including monthly reporting and reconciliations
• Preparing and reviewing management accounts and financial statements
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirement
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes
• Supporting external audits and liaising with auditors where required
• Monitoring internal controls and identifying areas for process improvement
• Supervising and mentoring junior finance staff
• Ensuring deadlines are consistently met with a high level of accuracy

• Completed relevant Accounting or Finance qualification
• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience working with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
