Operations Training Manager

Our client in the security industry is seeking a highly experienced and driven Operations Training Manager .

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full recruitment and onboarding process of field staff, designing and delivering training programs across operational, firearms, and driver safety disciplines, and ensuring strict compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will oversee firearm control, auditing, competency certification, and re-certification, while maintaining accurate training and compliance records.

Additional responsibilities include implementing defensive driving and safety training, conducting audits and inspections, investigating incidents, and ensuring adherence to standards set by relevant regulatory bodies. The role also focuses on driving continuous improvement in operational readiness, safety, and performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in security, law enforcement, or operational training
  • Valid firearm competency for all firearm types
  • PSIRA registration (minimum Grade B)
  • Accredited firearms instructor certification (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of firearm legislation and compliance (Firearms Control Act)

This role requires a highly disciplined, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership ability and the capacity to perform under pressure in a high-risk environment.
