An accounting company in existence for more than 25 years based in Reservoir Hills, Durban seeks the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Accounts/ CIPC Clerk.

The incumbent must have experience in an accounting environment and be familliar with CIPC.

  • Utilise the CIPC and BizPortal platforms efficiently for all company secretarial and compliance-related functions.
  • Process company registrations, deregistrations, director amendments, company name changes, trademark applications, and other CIPC-related services.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage annual returns and ensure compliance with CIPC deadlines and regulations.
  • Liaise directly with CIPC to resolve queries, follow up on submissions, and ensure timely completion of processes.
  • Maintain accurate company records, statutory documents, and filing systems.
  • Manage and monitor all CIPC processes from initiation through to completion.
  • Assist with the preparation, capturing, and interpretation of Annual Financial Statements and related accounting documentation.
  • Perform general administrative and accounts-related duties as required.
  • Ensure all documentation submitted is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, stakeholders, and internal departments via telephone and email.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional telephone etiquette at all times.
  • Utilise Microsoft Office Suite proficiently, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications.
  • Work effectively within a team environment while also being able to manage tasks independently.
  • Prioritise workload efficiently and perform well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Requirements / Skills

  • Solid understanding of CIPC procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with BizPortal and CIPC systems.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and Annual Financial Statements.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and query-resolution abilities.

1-2 years experience in an accounting firm or simillar.

Must have a qualification in accounting , finance or simmiliar.

Must be familiar with fast paced environments and CIPC.
