Civil Supervisor

• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS-office and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of design tools such as STAAD Pro/ ETABS/ SAFE/ TEKLA Structures/ REVIT and equivalent software's which supports 3D environment and Finite Element Analysis like ANSYS/ ABAQUS
• Familiar in PV and Wind power generation equipment foundations, Electrical substations and transmissions lines civil related works
• Review/ Prepare RCC designs, steel structural designs and layout preparations for earthworks and drainage systems for the large plant areas
• Knowledge on preparation of Bill, of Material, Request for Proposal & Request for Quotation
• Preparation/ review of technical specifications and review of tende specifications
• Visiting sites during tendering stages and preparation on site visit reports including feasibility and risk associated with topography, hydrology and accessibilty
• Preparation of detailed BOQ for civil related works with preliminary designs as per the tender/ developer requirments
• Design and drafting of PV and Wind power generation equipment foundations, substation building, operation and maintenance building, security building, indoor and outdoor electrical equipment foundations, firewalls, fences, trenches, racks etc.
• Monitoring site related activities and attending review meetings with owners and other stake holders
• Review and approval of Manufacturers/ Vendors/ Subcontractors Techno Commercial Offers, Drawings and Documentations related to the product services
• Knowledge of civil engineering, civil analysis and design software's, estimations and preparation of BOQ and preparation/ review of specifications/ method statements for site applications
• Know how to apply design standards, codes and regulations in relation to civil engineering e.g. BS-EN, ASTM, ASCE, IBC

• 5+ Years relevant experience
• Relevant Bachelors degree or certificate
• PV Solar and/ or BESS (Battery Storage) Experience
• Eskom experience
• HIRA Training
• Construction Regulation Training
• OHS Act Training
• Legal Liability Training
• Incident and Accident Investigation Training
