An established engineering and manufacturing business specializing in industrial ventilation, mechanical installation, and structural steel erection is seeking a technically grounded, hands-on Site Agent / Site Manager.

This is a critical, field-based role demanding exceptional client-facing leadership and a deep understanding of mine-site compliance. • Safety & MHSA Compliance: Drive a zero-harm safety culture. Enforce absolute adherence to client site rules, permit-to-work systems, and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary on-site liaison for the client's engineering and site management teams, participating in progress meetings and managing variations calmly and professionally.
  • Logistics & Progress Reporting: Track daily site progress, manage tools, consumables, and heavy lifting equipment (cranes), and submit meticulous progress reports, timesheets, and variation logs.
  • Quality & Handover: Manage inspection points, punch-list closures, and final testing to guarantee seamless handover.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven site-based leadership experience (Site Agent, Site Manager, or Mechanical/Structural Supervisor).
  • Industry Track Record: Solid experience executing projects within active mining environments, industrial shutdowns, or large-scale heavy engineering sites.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret complex structural and mechanical engineering drawings. Deep operational understanding of ducting, piping, structural steel, or ventilation systems.
  • Safety Focus: Strong working knowledge of strict SHEQ environments and mine-site safety protocols (MHSA alignment).
  • Qualifications: A trade qualification or a technical qualification in Mechanical/Structural Engineering is highly advantageous.
