Our client has a vacancy for a Debt Collector, on a permanent basis, based in East London, Eastern Cape.

A well-established company based in East London is seeking a reliable and results-driven Debt Collector to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and recovering outstanding accounts, primarily from government departments and state-owned entities, while assisting in maintaining healthy cash flow for the business.

Applicants are required to strictly meet the following criteria:

Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in Debt Collections (essential)
Valid Driver’s License (essential)
A multilingual person will be advantageous
Experience dealing with government departments and SOEs advantageous
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Computer literacy and administrative ability
Ability to work independently and meet targets

The s uccessful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Following up on outstanding accounts and overdue payments
Liaising with clients regarding account queries and payment arrangements
Conducting onsite visits where required
Preparing collection reports and maintaining accurate records
Ensuring professional client communication and relationship management Strong attention to detail
Professional and confident communicator
Organized and able to work under pressure

Sal ary: R10 000 per month CTC
